It is with immense gratitude that we tell you we have raised over $2,500, and still raising! Our goal is to reach $5,000 and we think we can do so as soon as next week. With your help, we can do this! Last night showed us that we–without a doubt–have strong supporters who recognize our work and passion in the educational realm, supporters who want nothing more than to see our children succeed. With this money, we can provide full/and or partial scholarships to those who are unable to pay for our services. Our intention is to never turn away a future leader who needs us today.
Representing our New York State Senator, Brian Benjamin, Shana Harmongoff presented us with a beautiful citation. It holds words we do live and breathe in this organization and will continue to do so. Thank you!
While Dine N Donate was clearly about the kids, we cannot pretend it was not also about the food and the gorgeous space in which it was held: Ponty Bistro Harlem. Chef Cisse has been a long time supporter ever since we tutored his children, and we are so grateful for his continuous support! I, personally, can not get over his Three Cheeses Gougeres, and will most likely never get over it since we are conveniently located two blocks away from Ponty. Thank you for housing our event.
And thank YOU, to all those who made a donation both at the event and online. Our Board Chair, Nancy Sanchez, and wonderful Rhoda Tamakloe, brought on over their scholars along with a lovely donation of $500. Thank you! It was a pleasure meeting these fine young women and men. Many of you were behind the scenes–parents, friends, tutors–selling tickets on your own time. Fadhima Thiam made so many calls for us. Whether or not any of you could make it last night, you are very much appreciated. It could not have been a success without you.
There is still time to make a donation (of any amount), if you haven’t made one yet. We would love to reach our goal! Donate Here.
