Who We are

We are a collaborative, growing community of learners involving students, instructors, and parents all on the same, educational journey. This is a second home for our Harlem Community. We provide a nurturing environment where respect for one another is valued; where learning is a priority, and where we take one’s initiative and curiosity to heart. Our focus is on the whole child and that has proven to help each student reach his or her fullest potential.

Our mission is to help underprivileged students build confidence and achieve academic excellence.

Our vision is for our scholars to become independent thinkers, lifelong learners, and responsible members of their communities.

Our team has proven commitment to a philosophy rooted in respect, hard work, and consistency. Through our progressive and rigorous approach, since 2010, our students have adopted a culture of excellence.

What We do

At NYMA we believe in a concept we call “Whole Student Learning”™.

Whole Student Learning encompasses engaging students’ minds, hearts, and hands in the learning process, which first targets their confidence. New York Math Academy provides more than quality common core aligned academic enrichment activities that improve students’ math and literacy skills.

We are a 21st-century organization integrating technology into our program to prepare our students for the challenges that lie ahead. We cultivate an environment that promotes self-respect, respect for others, and respect for their environment.
